There is no point in denying it, I have not written anything for some time. There is an explanation. Someone told me that it would take a few months to update the books and assess the financial success of “Light a Candle Weekend “. They were right.
As we await a few more contributions, [...] Here we are a few days remaining before Christmas. It is a busy period for all of us. In the middle of it all I have had the pleasure of visiting two Christmas Tree Festivals. One was in the tiny village of Salem, near Llandeilo, the other in a rather bigger village, Llanddarog, near [...] Light a Candle week-end is “officially” over. Reports from contacts throughout Wales suggest that it has been a successful exercise and we, in Talking Books Wales , want to thank everyone for their support. We know that many events have yet to be staged between now and the New Year, it augers well and a [...] Mrs Ann Lewis and Sulwyn Thomas of Talking Books Wales were the guests of Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club. The club’s President, Mary Adams welcomed the two guests at the weekly dinner at Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth . Many thanks for the wonderful welcome and the opportunity to explain, in detail, the work carried out [...] It was a cold, wet night. A night to stay in and watch television. At least 200 people thought otherwise and crammed into Pontyberem Hall and were duly rewarded with a superb display of musical skills provided by one family. What an experience!
