It was a cold, wet night. A night to stay in and watch television. At least 200 people thought otherwise and crammed into Pontyberem Hall and were duly rewarded with a superb display of musical skills provided by one family.
What an experience! Charlie Lovell-Jones, destined to be one of the biggest stars as a solo violinist, just 17 years old; his brother Harry, already an accomplished percussionist; his sister, Lizzie, a cellist with a promising future; mother Sara on the clarinet and of course, Simon, the father, an accompanist of great distinction.
A night to remember as they dedicated the concert to Talking Books Wales. There was a well deserved and prolonged standing ovation for this ultra talented family.

The response to Light a Candle Week- end has been very encouraging and I hope that you are arranging something special for those three days – 21-23 October.
The last few weeks have been frenetic and we thank everyone for their very generous donations and giving the new initiative such a positive and encouraging send-off.
