FUND RAISING EVENT

A very successful Fashion Show was held at The Ivy Bush Hotel, Carmarthen to raise money for Talking Book Wales and Carmarthen & District Talking Newspaper.

Nannette’s of Kidwelly supplied the clothes and models, and Huw Jones of TRJ Ammanford and David Gravell Kidwelly sponsored the event. The evening concluded with Peggy Davies dressed in a Welsh Costume selling “loshyn du” (sweets) to the audience.

Miss Rhian Evans, Vice Chairman of Talking Books Wales thanked everyone for coming and to everyone that contributed to the Raffle prizes.

A very generous £1272 was raised and the money will enable us to carry on with this very valuable service to the visually impaired.
